PayTop (“PayTop,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our airtime, data and bill-payment services, how and why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights. It is intended to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
PayTop is the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy request, contact [email protected].
Account information — name, email, phone number and password. Transaction information — the top-ups, bundles and bills you buy, the phone numbers or accounts you pay, amounts and dates. Payment information — processed by licensed payment partners; we do not store full card details. Automatic data — device and usage information via cookies and logs (see our Cookie Notice).
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only as needed with: payment processors and banks to complete payments; network operators and billers (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile, cable and electricity providers) to deliver what you buy; fraud-prevention and IT/hosting providers; and regulators or authorities where required by law.
We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required by financial, tax and anti-fraud regulations, then delete or anonymise them.
We use technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring — to protect your data and wallet, and rely on licensed, PCI-compliant partners for payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, but we act promptly if an issue arises.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email [email protected] to exercise any right, or unsubscribe from marketing via the link in any message.
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date shows the latest revision.
