These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PayTop platform and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
PayTop is a Nigerian Virtual Top-Up (VTU) and bill-payment platform enabling airtime, data, cable TV, electricity and related payments.
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your login and wallet PIN confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
You fund a PayTop wallet through our licensed payment partners and use the balance to pay for services. Funding is subject to our partners' terms. We are not a bank and the wallet is a prepaid balance for buying services on the platform, not a deposit account.
Most transactions are delivered instantly. Occasionally, delivery may be delayed or fail due to network operators, billers or third-party systems outside our control. Where a transaction fails after your wallet is debited, the amount is reversed to your wallet or resolved per our Refund Policy.
You are responsible for entering the correct phone number, smartcard number, meter number or account details. Airtime, data and bill payments sent to a wrong but valid number/account generally cannot be reversed, as delivery to the operator or biller is instant and final. Please double-check details before you confirm.
Prices and any fees are shown in the app before you confirm a transaction. We may update pricing at any time; the price displayed at the time of purchase applies.
You must not use PayTop for fraud, money laundering, funding of illegal activity, or any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or close accounts, and report to authorities, where we suspect abuse or are required by law.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance, upgrades or third-party outages may affect access.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PayTop is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for failures caused by network operators, billers, payment partners or events beyond our control. Our total liability for a transaction is limited to the value of that transaction.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
